    Flash Flood Against the Defences {North Gate}

Post by Tia Harribel on Wed Sep 22, 2010 7:50 am

She only momentarily had been sitting back on the cold and hard throne like chair, in the meeting room of Las Noches. With both Uliqorra and Barrangan on their way quickly, she followed suit, the dark barrier ripping underneath her chair as she fell silently into the dark. Of course it meant nothing, as to how she travelled in that confined space, since it would always connect to her desired destination. Tia's eyes were closed, arms crossed and head bowed down as she waited for the opening to appear. During this free fall, she sat quietly thinking to herself the reasons as to why they would need to test the defences of the shinigami. Sure they would have built up some sort of army against them, but the time since the Karakura town battle was short, and not even they and their traditions could pull up enough strength to combat the Arrancar. It helped, the eerie silence, the lack of light and distractions. She felt she could concentrate better, be able to truly use her strategic thinking perfectly.

However it was short lived, the feeling of peace, as she noticed a bright light appear beneath her. Without opening one eye, the mesh of reshi that coated the very air in the dark, bound itself together, making something akin to a web. Latching onto the seat to which Tia was so perfectly composed upon, it slowed down her descent, so that as she fell through the door, the landing would be comfortable. As usual the light temporarily blinded her as she came to a halt upon the hard stone floor. The light green strands, dissipated as they touched the new air, unable to keep such a solid form with so little reshi. The Garganta closed above her head, with peasants from Rukongai gasping at the arrival of Tia. She sat there, one eye open and arms now resting upon chair, with a leg crossed over. Nothing short of royalty, a Queen, yes that was what she had been called once before.

    The End Has Passed

The air was still, and right in front of her, was the massive yet derelict Seki wall surrounding Seireitei. She didn't bother looking behind her, as she knew that Rukongai was still recovering from their attack. Had she chosen the East Gate, she would have marvelled over the large areas still submerged under her water. The once grand protector of the worlds was now reduced to nothing more than sticks and stones. Through the large gaps, she could clearly see the state of the Court Guard Company Barracks, all of them still under construction.

"Oi, bitch, what do you THINK YOUR DOING HEEERE!"

The roar came from Danzōmaru, the failed guardian of the Black Ridge Gate. However it wasn't just a roar, his body had been in motion, arm swinging down with a titanic blade. His body could be clearly seen, wounds still nowhere close to being healed. His eyes looked tired, and his muscles seemed to be straining with just swinging his blade down. Tia didn't move from her seat, nor did she unsheathe her zanpakuto. Instead she just reached up with one hand, and stopped the blade with the tip of her finger. Around her and the seat, the ground caved in under the weight and force of the attack, however she remained untouched, unaffected.

"Danzō, that’s enough, I haven't come here to fight, only to observe, however it seems my thoughts have been confirmed.."

She raised her head to look at the shinigami, straight in the eye with one eye open. The sudden shock that appeared on his face didn't surprise Tia in the slightest. Her tone before wasn't caring, just informative, a dull and monotonous pitch. However the following words seemed to carry more weight.

"...now return to your post and allow me to sit in peace"

As she said this, she bent her arm down and quickly pushed up again, causing Danzōmaru’s blade to rise upward, surprising the monster. He let his blade crash down at Tia again, however only next to her, so that it cleaved the earth in 2. The attack wasn't even an attack, his arm couldn't support the blade anymore, and in her eyes, it was an acceptance of her dominance. Stepping back, he stood in front of her and crossed his arms, with a dark scowl upon his face.

"I won't move from this position Espada, not even if you devour my soul"

His eyes now met hers with renewed strength, and he released his spiritual pressure, not to intimidate Tia, but to signal her arrival. It was to be expected, but she was still not fazed, as Tia sat, and closed her eye again, and began contemplating her next move...

Today was going to be a pain, there was paper work to do. Of course he wouldn't allow that to slow his process, and then the massive wave of reiatsu that was released. He looked surprised, that was the gate keeper... The officers that had been walking with him paused their eyes wide. Murmurs drifted from their mouths. Shock seemed to be the word that should of been used but he did not feel shock just a grim fleeting emotion. His blue eyes stared off into the distance for a moment, a gentle touch to his arm brought the captain from his thoughts. He glanced over to the officer for a moment, and then nodded his head knowing what he had to do. He had to see what the problem at the gate was. Was a captain it was his job to make sure people remained safe from harm.

So the small captain ran forward, his arms dangling at his sides as he moved. He was silent as he went, many officers were buzzing with talk. Apparently the other two gates also had visitors. This wasn't good, where the hell had these intruders come from? He mused this for a moment as he moved, his white hair seemed to sway as he ran. Then the gate started to come into view, the small captain looked around grimly. He did not see any other of the captains here yet. Lunging toward the gate, he used his own strength to shift the white wall upward. His eyes held a cold look to them, he glanced at the gate keeper and then the strange woman garbed in white sitting on the ground.

The gate keeper looked surprised to see the white haired captain, "Captain Hitsugaya!" He said lightly.

Toshiro gazed at the man for a moment and then shifted his attention to the Espada. He let his hand fall to his blade. "State your business." He said coolly to Tia. He looked rather calm, and bored. He was ready to spring on the Espada and cut her down the moment she made an aggressive movement. She was an intruder on reaper ground, but he would not aim to kill, rather he'd make sure she was caught.

She sat and waited, not mentioning a word to the large battered shinigami that stood before her. He did not care for her words, and nor did she too he. All she wanted was to see the reaction, to test how long backup takes to arrive, to gauge the strength of said backup. The wind picked up strength as a gust blew into her, causing her uniform to flap widely as it tried to resist its power. Tia felt the pressure before it had even moved towards her, all over Seireitei prin pricks were probing at the 4 gates surrounding the barracks. Some grew immensely, an indication as to the ferocity and speed of the battles. However what interested her was the pressure that came bounding to her feet. She recognised the frosty chill emanating from it, how it seemed to creep up your spine and tries to freeze it there and then. She took a deep breath, as she heard the ending of shunpo land behind the wall, and with it the wall raised. For a second she was shocked as to the strength that the boy had grown in, however soon she realised as to why he could lift such a thing.

The section he had lifted was full of holes and cracks, barely holding it together. Had the thing been as it once was before the attack, then he probably couldn't have moved it an inch. Tia looked up at Danzōmaru, the look of relief and glee at the site of this captain. She however merely sat in her throne like chair, resting her head upon one hand, waited for the young captain to speak.

"A chance of fate? Tōshirō Hitsugaya, Captain of the 10th Division. I have merely come on Aizen-sama's orders to observe your current strength, nothing more, nothing less. However from the state of your guardian and the wall, it seems no improvements have been made since we last left"

She didn't change her tone, nor did she use those words to remind the Captain of his people's failure, and his own. Tia reminded herself of that fateful battle, between Ice and Water, how they were equal until he pulled out his trump card. Tōshirō Hitsugaya's zanpakuto truly did have a fearsome power, but now that she knew of it, their next battle wouldn't come off so easy. Tia sighed and turned her head towards the battles of her comrades. Ulquiorra seemed to have met against 2 Captains, and Barrangan seemed to have had no problems as of yet. Starrk was yet to arrive at the West Gate; the man was probably taking as long as he could to reach his destination, complaining about sleep the entire way.

Still looking away from the guardian and the Captain, Tia began speaking to them.

"Tell me, how many Captains are left? How stretched is the entire force with the devastation of both Rukongai and Seireitei? All I ask for are answers Captain Hitsugaya, then I will leave without damaging your world further...”

    When Ice and Sea Meet

Her eyes turned from the horizon and a distant gaze, and now pierced towards the Captain. Very subtly she raised her own spiritual pressure, not so that the boy would think that she wanted to fight, but to make her next point truly hit home.

"...unless you wish to see the north in similar circumstances as Junrinan in the West..."

((OOC- Junrinan is Toshi's birth place and where is Grandmother lives. This is in West Rukongai 1st District. Seeing as SS was destroyed by us and Aizen, you will notice what Tia's part in it was..the submergence of West Rukongai. Just letting you know so that Toshi can truly react to this ;D))

Toshiro stared at Tia for a moment, her gaze seemed cool as always. That woman whom he had fought before, his comrades had fallen to the Espada and their force. Staring in silence for a moment he took in the way she sat there like a queen awaiting her subject to speak. This made him feel slightly annoyed, but she had not moved from the spot she was sitting so he did not worry too much about the whole affair. Then she spoke, her voice coming out in its normal monotone elegance that graced her voice often enough. He looked rather calm staring at her for a moment, a chance of fate, eh? Then he switched the grip on the blade he held, lowering the angle it was on for a moment.

"No improvements?" His voice was calm, his gaze cold. He didn't want to have to battle here with so many people around but she was going to force his hand. His gaze looked bored, and his normal scowl remained on his face. The small captain stared in silence at the woman before him for a moment. The shark lady. He remembered their last fight clearly. It was something that he wouldn't forget, after all she was fairly strong. Shifting ever so slightly, he stepped toward Tia, the dirt making a soft crunch under his sandals. If Aizen sent her that meant that there was going to be another attack, did it not?

Then she spoke once more to him, and Toshiro's eyes narrowed slightly. He gripped the sword tightly, looking curious. All Aizen sent them here for was answers? That seemed a little too good to be true. He didn't understand why they'd go to all that trouble to find the answers if Aizen could easily figure it out on his own. "All you want is answers?" He echoed after a moment, and then looked at her like she was suggesting something stupid. His gaze remained calm though he did not move from where he stood, although, his body shifted stances. He made himself loosen up, he wouldn't give information to the enemy,

He could feel her spirit energy start to climb upward slowly, and he prepared himself for an attack. But instead she spoke. Those words chilled the young captain and his eyes held anger in them. She did not just say that? "Reign over the Frosted Heavens Hyōrinmaru!" He yelled out, the blade going through its transition. Using a rapid shunpo he lunged toward the Espada, and slashed downward, releasing a wave of ice at her.

    Rain and Snow

She didn't take joy out of her comment, nor did she regret it. Tia knew what the boy's reaction was going to be, due to his youth his emotions still got the better of him. This weakness was usually covered by the calculating brain she had witnessed before. But with the death of a family member due to her own hands, Tia could tell that he wouldn't be able to have the same self restraint this time round. As such she expected a frontal attack, since when anger fills your heart, a tactical approach to a battle just flies out the window. Tia saw him coming for her, the speed in his shunpo accelerating him so that his attack would be swift and clean. Tia did not release her zanpakuto, nor did she unleash a cero. Instead as she saw the ice dragon and blade come down upon her, she quickly uppercutted the dragon. However she wasn't using just her plain old palm, since a burst of yellow light shattered through the beast just as quickly as it had been formed. As her body rose, he Captain's blade was still swinging down; however Tia relied on her hierro as she felt the blade screech down her arm.

Due to his shikai state Tia was able to get away with this; however had he been in Bankai she may have lost her arm. However she pushed this out of her mind as her counterattack was ready before the boy had lunged at her. While her left hand blasted away the ice dragon with a bala, the right had been tightly shut; focusing a cero was quietly as possible. Now that he was in close range, his momentum pulling him down and his body completely wide open, Tia just opened the palm of her hand. The light shone brightly as it illuminated the boys face and her own, at first its strength would have been compared to a lantern. But the light grew brighter and swelled as it encompassed everything in front of the female Arrancar. Her look was the same, calm and collected as she watched the face of Tōshirō Hitsugaya become enveloped in her light.

The sound of a cero was all that could be heard, deafening the loud warning cry of Danzōmaru. Even if he managed to somehow survive the blast, the force would have pushed him back and as such Tia had time to gain a better stance then sitting on her throne. While the beam had been fired and the seki wall behind them had a new hole added into it, Tia side stepped from her seat, waiting to see what would emerge from the smoke. Closing her eyes, she threaded one finger through the hilt of her zanpakuto, and got into a defensive stance, legs wide and her left arm raised like a guard. She didn't move nor breathed loudly as she waited muscles ready to explode into action, for the Captains retaliation.

Suddenly a spiritual energy that both shinigami and espada knew a like was coming toward toshiro and tia. When he got there he stood there looking at tia with a lets go look. "Tia return to las noches now and provide Lord Aizen with how far youv'e gotten." He said as he began to leave after so.
